PART 4

INQUIRY-BASED METHODS FOR SOLVING REAL-WORLD PROBLEMS

CHAPTER 16

Inquiry-Guided Learning

Inquiry-guided learning also goes by the names inquiry-based learning, inquiry learning, guided inquiry, and guided discovery. In addition, it has several definitions in the literature that are not entirely consistent with each other. In chapter 11, it was defined very generally as “students learning or applying material in order to meet a challenge, such as to answer a question, conduct an experiment, or interpret data” so as to accommodate the range of more specific definitions.
